ECHO
Burlington has a small aquarium and science center named ECHO (Ecology Culture History Opportunity. It is located on the shores of Lake Champlain. Lake Champlain is named after the French explorer, Samuel de Champlain. Lake Champlain is also known for it's lake monster, Champ. There has never been any scientific proof of Champ's existence but many people believe and he is a much loved local mascot.
